Schools close for the summer.

I think language assistants for English are recruited often (if not mostly?) via the British Council, perhaps you find some more detailed info on their website:

Thankyou very much! It's useful that you post these things because I would never be able to find that on my own. Kiitos.
Hmm but it doesn't say they do it in Finland :(

it could be that there are other ways to do the same kind of work in Finland, perhaps someone else is more knowledgable about this. You could also simply write to schools to inquire about this. My hunch is only that they might expect some sort of qualification for doing this type of work (e.g. an English-as-a-foreign-language-teaching qualification and/or a university degree ).

I'm a newly divorced mother of 2 who is looking for some extra income (my ex left the country with his mistress and havent heard from him in 4 months). I have been answering posts on Craigslist for house work and babysitting, but lately have been creeped out by the people on Craigslist. I started using Workstir.com cuz it lets me see who I am doing business with. Most of the users are tied to their Facebook profile, which is nice, cuz most people on Facebook use their real name and contact info.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and you'll be seeing me around :)
