picnic places
picnic places
Dear All, my sister family is visiting me for 15days. I wanted to show them around the most scenic part around espoo, helsinki. Can anyone help us telling what r the sandy beaches good for picnic near espoo/helsinki and also any jungle area with lake for BBQ n picnic. We are not having car and have 1 infant and 2 small kids. I will really appreciate, if you could also tell me how to reach to those places with public transport.
Re: picnic places
your sister family, you mean your family? anyway, you can go on a day cruise to Estonia. I guess in Suomenlinna is good too for picnic if weather permits.
If you wish to convince people of something, it is more useful to be entertaining than to be right
Re: picnic places
The jungle areas of Espoo still largely remain uncharted because of the lions, but you'll find some info on the beaches here. There's something in English about the Helsinki beaches here...
Ans yes, Suomenlinna is a great place for picnics. See http://www.suomenlinna.fi/

Yes, if you get bored of the Espoo jungle come to Tallinn. Great old town and all the pippuripihvi-places are open

Sorry to be of no help to the original poster, but.. what a coincidence! - I also live in Espoo and also wonder about good picnic places.. Except that I do have a car...
And this one I really need to ask:
smritin where did you get that Dear All thing for addressing people? The deal is that it's exactly the way I start my writings to people, with those same first capitals and all... And it's even sort of branded to me by co-woerkers and other recepients...
Just really, really wondering...
