Indeed. The local bitter where my folks used to live (and it's no longer brewed there) was Hartley's XB, the recipe is supposed to have included several lbs of fillet steak added to the vats in order to get the taste right ... in the olden days that taste came from the odd rat or two which would drown in the vats brewing.Bubba Elvis XIV wrote:Er....you might wanna check that. Yeah - I think fish oils are used in certain beers too, again, for flavouring. Certain chemicals and flavourings and processing methods are out too. Can't remember details...I gave up the cruelty free thing a long time ago. You can get lists from the vegan societies etc etc.sinikala wrote:
