So we tried to to copy and lick the arse of everything from other countries. And we built and built and built and tried to keep at par. But then we at some time realized all the foreigners had was actually w4nk, and it was all bloody marketing, so they actually can go w4nk as we took it and made it better. Like the Japanese. I think the only places you can still see "Fonzie" is in Finland and Japan.

And I can say very little works in Finland. Just people have this blind nationalism to make up for their own national insecurities.

I'm told, though, that it's quite normal in Pohjanmaa (at least). And intuitively, it feels perfectly in harmony with the stereotype of the wife who runs the whole farm through the power of the rolling-pin she wields like Caesar's staff. (Maybe instead of SPQR, the rolling pin has SKDL or SDKP emblazoned on it.)

And when I think of a bunch of Finnish movie-couples I've seen, I have trouble imagining the people saying "hakisitko" to each other. Which do you think couples use more often?
