Finnish charcoal
Finnish charcoal
I love grilling, but I can't seem to master the use of Finnish charcoal. It seems to just burn up before the food is done, no matter how much I use. I'm really getting irritated with it and wondered if anyone could give me any tips. Dh says that it's probably all made from soft wood. Is there any brand that is longer-burning than other brands?
Re: Finnish charcoal
Hi Karen! Someone posted on that a while a go. It might've been Cory. IIRC it was someone from Canada or with Canadian connections who was looking for a specific kind of wood for burning.

karen, how many Kg are you using at a time and how long do the grey/red coals last?

Yeah, I think the best is to combine both. It's difficult to burn round shape artificial grill coal (or at least it was the case with those I bought), which last longer. That's why I put them first in the grill, then put the wood coal over it... Easy to burn, last longerPursuivant wrote:Less air?
