Glass top for table?

Post by Amandine.K » Wed Jul 01, 2009 10:21 am

Hi,

We have a nice dining table but hardly can see it under the protective tablecloth we have to use. So I was wondering where could I buy a glass top for it. Any idea?

Kiitos

Hi Amandine K.

Please let me know if you find something! I have been hunting for something similar myself!

You can get cut glass at some of the places that make glazed balconies etc., however, there were not up to my expectations, e.g. they could not round the edges, which makes them rather dangerous to use.

Kind regards.

Apparently, I cannot order one piece. A thousand and they will give me a good discount!

Added later: It seems I must have spoken to the wrong person since they also mention that if the bill is less than 50 EUR blah, blah, blah!

You need a glazier's. We've had glass tops cut to size for loads of our furniture.

We used a place in Leppävaara a few times, we got their address out of the yellow pages, but it's so long ago I don't have their details. A quick google search threw up this company ... http://www.eslalasi.fi/ it's not the one we used but looks like it might be OK for what you want.
