Serena : worth the 75€ or not?

Post by Amandine.K » Sun Jun 28, 2009 7:57 pm

Hi,

We were planning on taking the kids to Serena today but when checking the website and saw the prices we decided that the beach in Lauttasaari would do just fine.

Is Serena that great that it justifies paying 75€ for 2 adults and 2 kids?

Hi.
How about 2 adults and 4 children?
In my opinion is very expensive, but I think once at 2 or 3 years maybe it's ok. I never went there, but like you said Lauttasaari was great.

if you manage to get to puuhamaa ( http://www.puuhamaa.fi/ ), Its well worth it..Its a water park but still have some indoor things to do if the weather turns cold..Generally, the puhaamaapaketti is better..
But then its a little far and mostly, you need a car..But the best part about that park is that you are allowed to take food items and prepare them there.( Lots of grills and outdoor fireplaces )..

I'll second the puuhamaa. Outdoor water park is nicer - and then you get all the rides, mineature golf, sliders, bouncers, trampolines, and jungle gym stuff, too.

Incidentally, there is a really nice sandy bottom large pool with waterslide at the Pirkkolan urheilupuisto (Just off the Keha 1 before the Tuusulan highway). It's free, is shallow for the little kids, but has a neat island to swim to for bigger kids, and there are swing sets, rock climbing walls, a kioski selling ice cream and drinks, and a large and easy to use parking lot. The water is filtered.

Honestly, it's like the best kept secret in Helsinki for a free park that's great for everyone.

Google maps location (you can see the water in this image):

Thanks Raam and Xochi,
I'll probably follow your suggestions.
