HSE Admissions - How did I not get in?

I know the SATs have changed since I took them back in 1998/1999. Then, the highest possible score was 1600, now it's 2400. Actually, a student from my hometown score a perfect 2400 on his SAT a couple of years ago. Sorry to say, 1310 doesn't sound like a high score on today's SATs standards of 2400. Did you take all three parts? usually you get a score for the writing section too. You only said your math and reading scores.

And... probably MOST of the 23 who did get in have already applied 2 or maybe 3 years in a row and been doing "other stuff" including prep classes in the meantime. I doubt if many get in on their first attempt.

Or am I totally off track?
