I'm doing my M.Sc and Have permanent job. I live in a rented student apartment.

I recently got temporary lay off notice. As my membership with unemployment fund is less than 10months I have to ask money from Kela.

So... If Kela knows I'm a student will they pay me unemployment benefit or will they put me to studies ?

Even if I don't tell them, if I ask fro housing benefit, they will know that I'm a student as I live in rented student apartment.

Any advice regarding this please.

You have to resign from the university for the year to be "unemployed". Logic.
