Photoalbum publishing via a photodeveloper..kuvakirjat

Post by Cod » Tue Jul 14, 2009 10:06 am

Hi,

Has anyone pushed the boat out and had a go at this, creating a photoalbum via an online publishing? I think the name in Finnish is kuvakirja.

What we're after is great quality that will last for years and keep it's colour.

Something like from one of these guys maybe..

Never done before, but I'd suggest that you look at smaller print houses and copy centers, for example: http://www.kopioniini.fi/kuvakirjat/

why do you worry about the longevity? if you keep the originals then just have another photo book made in 20 years time if they fade. considering that in 5 years time almost everyone will have a tv where you can pop in a memory card and display them on there or have the tv networked and display them straight from flickr or the like then who will look at printed photos anyway in a few years.

I've seen one from http://ifolor.fi/ and it seemed ok.
