Metro fine

Hello!

I jus got a fine for travelling in the Helsinki metro without a ticket and I am wandering what could happend to my if I decide not to pay it. I am planing to pay it, but does anybody know what will hapend if not.

of cuorse they have your ID number on file. if nothing else they'll send a bailiff after you and then you pay double.

I hope so to, maybe can answer my question. By the way, no id number in the fine at all. Does anybody knows how much time do I have to pay it??

they don't have to have anything on the fine itself, they have your ID number in their file, which they took when they checked your ID when you got smurfed. I think the time reads on the slip somewhere... my guess it is within 14 days, but I haven't gotten such wins in aeons.

I saw a couple people get smurfed t'other day. One was a young Somali guy, the other a veteran booze-hound. One gets hit up for eighty bucks, the other escorted carefully off the metro.

After a lot of time I did not pay the fine, nobody asked me to pay it and everithing looks like they are not looking for me to pay it, any way I am still looking to get a reminder, without the reminder nobody can ask me to pay it. I try once to pay it when I was on time but since I did not have my passport with me they did not allow me to pay, very smart from theire side.

Here is another idea dear Rob34 I will pay for my metro tickets if I want to (or feel like) and when you learn how to behave in a forum. If you read again my last post you will see that I tryed to pay the fine, since they did not let me do it there is no reason for you to open your stinking mouth

Take away 'you goddamn parasitic leech' bit and I agree with Rob34.

It is so simple: you should pay for your tickets as otherwise it is just stealing, and if you do not and get caught then you should promptly pay the fine (with the right documents) and good job they caught you in my opinion. I am afraid that with you and others not paying for your tickets it just means that everyone who does follow the law ends up paying more taxes and higher fares to cover you, also as normal all us foreigners here get stereotyped as criminals by the actions of a few...
