...has anyone put together a "How to setup a toiminimi in 3 easy steps" guide? (it's Finland, so no doubt there's more like 30 steps, one being to bend over)

Just walk to a book keeper. S/he will put up any kind of company for you and you have to do nothing. That is what I did. And the book keeper was just happy to get a new client.

You need to fill out the Y3 form (there is a bilingual Finnish/English version)
And there is a useful book called Establishing and Doing Business in Finland by Tuulikki Holopainen which you can borrow from the library (it has all the answers). You can also walk into www.intofinland.fi in Kamppi and get face-to-face help.
