FLYING FINN STOPS LONDON ROUTE.
FLYING FINN DISCONTINUES FLIGHTS BETWEEN HELSINKI AND LONDON
For the time being Flying Finn discontinues flights between Helsinki and London, Stansted. The last flight will be on Sunday 18th January. Low-cost airlines are based on effective returns which result in low prices. If there is insufficient demand for a route, the resources are moved to more profitable routes. Otherwise the ticket prices would become higher.
If you have already booked a Flying Finn flight from Helsinki to Stansted (or back), you can choose one of the following three options:
1. You may cancel your flight and we will refund you the ticket price.
2. We can arrange coach transport from Helsinki-Vantaa airport to Tampere airport for you, and from there a flight to London, Stansted airport with another carrier (or back, if you have booked a return flight as well).
3. We can arrange a flight to London, Heathrow airport with another carrier for you (or back, if you have booked a return flight as well).
The fastest way for you to make your choice is to fill in the form below with the details of your reservation, the names of the passengers and your contact details. Your choice will be processed as soon as possible. We will contact you primarily through the email address you provide. Please enure that the contact information is correct.
The choice made applies always to all passengers traveling with the same booking reference as you. The choice you make with this form is binding.

Well, you can still take Ryan Air to Stanstead from Tampere. Just means you have slightly longer to travel at this end instead!!paulrenn wrote:Damn...gone the way of Buzz. This really sucks. Do the Estonian thing.
- theres estonian tag's online (dusty bin could do a background check)
- book a Tallin-London
- take the ferry over, have a nice day - fly *back* to helsinki, snicker at the people that bought 3x price tickets...
Well, used to work with New York flights.
You can use the last leg unused, and drop off in Helsinki (cannot join in tho)

I flew from Tallinn to Gatwick, no problems. I have suggested this before. By the time all the costs of flying with Ryanair are factored in, I think this is about the best method. BTW the flight, round trip was about 180Euro. The nice way to travel over is to use the Tallink service over in the morning and then back overnight with a free cabin, cost is 24Euro round trip and fits nicely with the Estonina Air schedule. Taxi to the airport SHOULD cost about 3-4Euro, bus will cost 1Euro each.
The deals that went through Helsinki were not so good as well as taking longer.
This is the place to look for cheap flights:

Be aware that some tickets are for sale in the Baltics only so it may be that you need to collect your tickets from the agent on your way to the airport. otherwise they will post them to you. They accept payment by credit card or bank transfer.
-And they all speak good English!

Now the truth is out..they are only flying domestic to stop the leasing company snatching back the aircraft..
Seems they are close to bankrupt.

Re: FLYING FINN STOPS LONDON ROUTE.
That's timely advice, thanks, can I book that via the flying finn website, or should I have done it 5 years ago when this thread was last active?
