hi guys ,and thanks to all those who enrich this forum with wisdome,
i have gone a long way so far on my plans,i have studied for 6 month and passed the ielts,i went to egypt to take the entrance exam ,because the told me an entrance exame is not enough reason to get a visa to finland,i passed the entrance,
went back to my country(sudan)and did all arangments for applieng to the residnce permit.
now its 3 weeks ahead from the start of studies( hamk),and i am yet to get my hands on the student visa.
how long do you think it might take?.i applied at the end of june but,they asked for more papers until it was ready so the application was ready at the embassy around 13 july.

They try to deal with the applications as fast as possible for students.
Without any problems it should be between 3 and 6 weeks.

But they don't react on requests to hurry or that the plane ticket is already bought.
In fact trying to speed up the process or getting information when it is ready might even slow it down.

why dont you ask the embassy instead of asking here ? They might be able to better answer your question instead of people speculating here..
