Net connection for my aparment in building with no setup?

Post by luckykitty » Fri Aug 14, 2009 10:19 am

Hi,
What kind of internet connection should I get for an apartment that doesn't have anything installed in the walls for internet. That means no fibre or usual socket for the lan cable, there's only two round socket things for the tv connection. I would like at least 1mbit, but would like the cheapest option...like including what it takes to set the sockets/wires whatever in the wall. Using wireless modem at the mo, but wanted something faster.

Thanks
LK

Ah actually yes, previous tenant left that. It's some kind of adapter she put in over the normal phone line socket i guess?
So what kind of internet can I get with the pigeon footholds :D?

Its the holes for a 3 pronged Digital loop feet pigeons...
This is the connection for using ADSL service.
If you have a "cable" TV socket, it could be used for Cable modem service as well..
OTOH, you can call Welho and go Wireless
All depends on your budget per month..and whether you are willing to sign a contract or not..

Basically to avoid wires you get a wireless ADSL modem you plug into the wall socket, and then make a deal with... whichever ISP... Kolumbus, Somera, Elisa etc... for foreigners I always suggest GoHome
