Basic accounting for filling tax forms & bookkeeping?

Post by luckykitty » Tue Aug 18, 2009 10:21 pm

Hi,
I might need to fill tax forms and monthly income sheets if I operate as a toimimi (is that the word?), so I was wondering if there's some special accounting stuff I should know, or if I should just go in and ask vero everytime I have a question about where to fill something? Is there some kind of beginners accounting course for filling these forms or do people learn as they go? And any tips on bookkeeping etc and how to keep everything in order?

Thanks!
LK

Think positive and the likes. Happy entrepreneurhip. BTW unless you submit the monthly tax sheets you're in trouble.

If you write the words TMI bookkeeping into the search engine window in the toprighthandcorner of your screen you will get links to several threads about this giving all kinds of information (courses, books, software etc)

It is important to get it right from the start to avoid nasty VAT bills to regularise your situation.

You will also need to do the paperwork for your social security, insurance and pension contributions.

If you want face-to-face advice then walk into Into: http://www.intofinland.fi (in Kamppi, Helsinki)
