i came to Espoo awhile ago, but i just dropped my stuff to my new place, left to the US immediately (for some personal reason), and came back last week! i don't know anyone too

There are a few different expat/social groups in the Helsinki area but I can't personally vouch for any of them.

-Jolly Dragon (some people seem to have an issue with them; I've been for cheap drink night a couple of times and they seem alright) www.jollydragon.net

-There's a bunch of Helsinki "groups" on meetup.com but I can't really make sense of the way it works. It kind of looks like a site for groups that people wished existed.

I tried to PM you, but it wouldn't go through. Don't know if this is of any use to you, as I don't know how long you'll be in Finland for, but, I will be back in Kauniainen in early November, and if you are still there it would be nice to meet up. Meanwhile, hope you enjoy your time there, usually I walk around Galtrask every day, and as you probably know already, the train to Hki runs basically all night, so you don't have to get taxis home from partying.

i just realised that i live 15-20 minutes by bus from Kauniainen since Leppävaara is about 25 minutes from here
