3rd party batteries for nokia phones?

Post by luckykitty » Wed Aug 26, 2009 7:04 pm

Hi,
My Nokia E51 is draining the battery quite quickly - it sometimes doesn't last for a day.
Right now, it has the original Nokia battery in it. Has anyone tried 3rd party batteries? Are they good? Can they hold more charge on it btw?

Also I don't know if this happened after the firmware update, but I guess maybe I have had my phone for a year or so and it started to drain alot quicker than before.

The 3rd party batteries are half the price :o.

Thanks,
LK

Batteries are consumables, they will not hold the charge as well as they age and are used.

Yeah I know. But any 3rd party made battery experiences? Any leakage or problems?
Cheers

Noup, working just as well as original imho. Most likely the cells are made in the same factory as batteries with Nokia's branding.

Dodgy. The device vendors have trouble controlling quality of their own branded batteries.

Check your phone settings... If the wireless, bluetooth, etc. are always on it drains the battery pretty quick. And also be aware of the 3rd party software such as Fring (which is used to make SIP calls). It is a battery eater.
