Oslo to Turku-best route?

I am in the process of planning my trip this winter. I'm thinking about flying to Oslo, then after a couple days taking a bus to Stockholm with these guys http://www.swebusexpress.se/SwebusExpress_com/ then from Stockholm to either Turku or Helsinki by ferry. Haven't decided on a ferry yet.

Question 1... Are the buses in that area fairly safe? Do I need to worry about someone stealing my bags/messing with me in general?

Question 2... Does anyone know of any other bus lines so I can compare ticket prices?

Question 3... Can anyone recomend a particular ferry over another? (Links are appreciated)

Question 4... Does anyone have any suggestions for a better/cheaper/faster/safer route?

The ferries are quite good, all of them. The ones plying between stockholm and helsinki have more "rides"

I have found the Silja line ferries to be much nicer boats than the Viking Line - at least between Stockholm and Turku, they are also much newer.

Thanks guys! Does anyone have any suggestions for buses? Or other modes of transportation from Oslo to Stockholm.

There is a train that runs from Oslo to Stockholm. If you look at www.nsb.no and look in their timetable section you will find international trains and it is train 104. When I lived in Norway I found that the prices of buses and trains were pretty similar and at least on a train it is more comfortable than a bus.
