Dundee United, they were my favourite Scottish team from the 80's - then i moved on to Berwick Rangers cause they were English  , then i read a book about East Stirling and how poor and rubbish they are, so i have no loyalty north of the border. I guess you come from Dundee you follow one of your own local town teams, or Rangers, Celtic or do you have Man Utd sheep there?

Hei martinmartinez

Funny you should mention East Stirling and Man Utd sheep because Fergie started his managerial career with East Stirling then St Mirren then Aberdeen and then of course the Manc Mingers. martinmartinez? Why don't you take your sorry arse back to La Liga you disloyal travelling footie whore. :D What next after Berwick Rangers? Check out Fort William in the Highland League or if your tendency is towards England then how about English Public Schoolboys Bum Bashers FC.

BTW the Dundee Utd team of the eighties was the greatest footie team that ever graced the hallowed turf, followed by Brazil of 82, then Russia in 86 with Bats, Rats, Cats etc.(or was that Romania?) ha ha.

I read Seen's posts with interest.

I'd actually like to laugh at Dundee Utd, but I have an uncomfortable feeling that they won the fekkin European Cup or something when I wasn't looking in about 84 or 85.

Wasn't on drugs or owt. Just, well, on drugs basically. And I was vegetarian.

SO?

Hei Peace Lover

You're nearly right. Remember the Liverpool - Roma European Cup Final bore draw, the only entertaining thing being Grobbelar's wobbly legs penalty thingy. Well it should have been a classic Dundee Utd - Liverpool thrillfest. Utd played Roma in the semi-final winning the 1st leg 2-0 at Tannadice, blowing the Ities away with relentless, breathtaking attacking footie. Unfortunately Utd lost the 2nd leg 3-0 in Rome to those cheating basterds. UEFA charged Roma for attempting to bribe the referee. Attempting? Fecking bollucks to that. Utd were cheated, robbed, shanked, shivved by the bunch of Caesars.

Utd also qualified for the 86/87 UEFA cup final but lost to Gothenburg over 2 legs. After binning Barcelona both home and away.

BTW, Dundee Utd are the only British team to have played Barcelona 4 times with 4 wins.

Regarding an earlier post from yourself, I was born in Dundee Royal but alas the powers that be (another bunch of corrupt cheating basterds) closed it down and converted it into flats.

I also agree with your Zola rant. WTF? Retired the jersey? They should have retired Ron "Chopper" Harris' jersey instead then sent it to Afghanistan to scare the s*it out of the Taleban.

Drugs in the 80's. Those were the days. I wasn't vegetarian though. Now I'm vegetarian but don't do drugs. Because I can't fecking get any.
