New to Jyväskylä - as some of you may have read my other posts - was just wondering where the dog-friendly zones were? I have 2 medium-large dogs that like to run free (preferrably in a fenced-in area or park) and was wondering where these spots are.
What about the lakes and trails?
I live near the University (about a 10 minute walk) and Khauna Wuma (? May spelled it wrong).
Thanks for your help.

Re: Dog-Friendly Zones - in Jyväskylä??
As far as I know, you have to keep your dog on a lead inside the city (also outside of the city during spring/summer).
Regarding "dog parks", I've not heard of one in Jyväskylä, but perhaps someone else can help.
In summer be careful not to take your dog to any of the swimming beaches, as dogs are usually banned from swimming there.
There are plenty of trails in the surrounding forests. Go along to the tourist info office and ask for the outdoor map. It costs some euros, but is well worth the investment if you need to know where you can get out and about.

Political correctness is the belief that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
