Cheap 3G Service?
Cheap 3G Service?
Is there such a thing? I will be staying in finland for at least 3 more months, and might stay on until June. I am looking for the cheapest possible 3G service for an iphone. Any suggestions? The prepaid solutions have horrible per MB rates. Perhaps it's cheaper to get a contract?

I should also add that I have a finnish social security # and the Kela card is supposedly in the mail, so I *should* be able to score a contract.
Re: Cheap 3G Service?
you just have to check out the operators websites. You can get 400 meg, or so for 10 Euros/month

If you have been in Finland less than a year, you will probably have to pay a couple of hundred euros deposit even if you have the ID number. Might depend on the company so just ask.

Re: Cheap 3G Service?
I have a contract with dna for 3G service on an iPhone. My bills each month are incredibly cheap, except if I am roaming. But, I don't use the data transfer outside of Finland and that has more to do with where I travel to rather than anything else. That said, as far as I can tell, my bill is not any more expensive than it was before I had 3G service.
Kela Card and/or Social identity number are necessary for getting the contract.
