Putting the wooden garden furniture away in dry storage. Does it need to be oiled first?

If its been out wet I'd rather let it dry first before oiling... thats a "spring job" if any, when the sun starts shining

If you are going to store it in a cold shed I wouldn't bother. If you are storing it in a warm garage then it might be a good idea, but you should clean it BEFORE you oil it - so better to wait for a warmish sunny day to do that.
