Yes, but he probably meant collecting the left-overs from Thursday's pea soup [/quote]
And then you fry them over on Saturday...

I find Lidl and Prisma to be the cheapest.

Tip: Check the mainoksia for any bargains and get the store cards.

example: K-market, pepsi/pepsi max twin pack, 2x1.5l, 1.89 with card, pretty reasonable.

And buy own brands - El Dorado( ), Rainbow, Pirkka, Euro shopper.

My workmate drives every month to Prisma in Tallin. He shops for whole month and refills his car. He says that he saves around 150 € a month just on doing so. This is including the ferry and others small expensives.

Rainbow brand now belongs to S-Ryhmä
Euroshopper is one of the worst brands

Onether good way to save money is to shop in different places for exemple: I usually buy my bread from Primula( Primulan Leipomot Oy - Teollisuuskatu 3 ). So I save around 5 € because I buy bread for whole. Then I go to Hakaniemi tori around 1-2 o' clock and buy fruits and vegetables because they sell it a bit cheaper around the closing times.
A good idea is also to plan a menu for a week ahead , so you already know what to week before and you can make shop accordantly.
