Hei Krash,
I'll give it a whirl, it doesn't have old hairy hands Richard Keys on it does it?
I've tried most footie podcasts and after much discussion with Salopian and ChubbyP we conclude that the best out there are these two.

James Richardson obviously but the Ramble is a great show and well worth a listen. Both via itunes.

I thought World Football Daily was staring down the barrel as its host is a Hillsborough and/or Heysel denier (in terms of Liverpool's innocence)? Still going?catfish78 wrote:On top of those I listen to these guys

The second link seems a bit...old and finally anything with espn in the address is a no-no.
If you're desperate for daily commentary on the football world, you could do worse than this 20min effort. It's worth listening to once just to try to work out who the comedy soundbites come from in the intro:

They were World Soccer Daily on Sat radio in the US, That got shut down and now they are World Football Daily, and they are moving to a pay format. Undecided if I will pay for that show are not.Salopian wrote: I thought World Football Daily was staring down the barrel as its host is a Hillsborough and/or Heysel denier (in terms of Liverpool's innocence)? Took me a while to give The Ramble a go, but it's pretty good.
Funny at times, and the guys on it do know their football.
Guardian Football Weekly
Funniest and best football podcast by a distance.
Can't imagine Sky's podcast would be different in tone from their TV coverage.
Andy Gray saying 'stunning' a lot and Jamie Redknapp calling Lampard a 'top, top player'.

Gave it a whirl and they talked about rugby in the first 3mins. Off. Unsubscribed. Never again.Salopian wrote: Off the Ball

Re: Jumpers for goalposts
That story about gaelic football? Requested back-story on the presenters. That would be like your beloved AC Jimbo never mentioning his Football Italia days when questioned.MagicJ wrote:Gave it a whirl and they talked about rugby in the first 3mins. Off. Unsubscribed. I wasn't really listening, i heard Munster(?) and thought they were rugby. Oh well if i want to hear irishmen talking about football i'll get chubby to do some accents, that would be a laugh.Salopian wrote:That story about gaelic football? Jimbo talks about football so it's all good, he's not my beloved anything he's good, a bit fuddled sometimes but it's an interesting pod. Your little jokes of late have certainly had a hint of Jim in them, i think you're developing a little crush.

Developing? He's been in my life since the early ninetiesMagicJ wrote:Jimbo talks about football so it's all good, he's not my beloved anything he's good, a bit fuddled sometimes but it's an interesting pod. Off the ball has some good insights at times, and kills 20mins of commutage when needing something light.
Did you get any of the soundbites from the intro?
Beth? Hä? 什么?

Re: Jumpers for goalposts
Who were they then? The second of the three you might remember non-too-fondly.MagicJ wrote:Yes. I got them, they're on my ipod.
