Briefly, i purchased a phone contract from DNA, FOR MY SON,13. no problem there you might think, ,phone, limit on its usage, 20 euro per month, So far ,so good, until I received a bill for 250 euro , .. HOW, could this happen , ah dna allow children to buy from drinks machines with no daily limit,, yes their raja doesn,t kick in for 24 hours,,,, i TOOK THEN,DNA, TO THE TRADING STANDARDS UNIT ,and succeeded in getting the bill halved, but I stipulated that they actively inform raja customers of this loophole, they agreed,, BUT, apparently have not honoured this pledge, as I read in the Helsinki paper last summer of a parent having a similar experience, but for 500 euros.. , just would like to caution people about this loophole, for instance , should you lose your phone don,t presume your raja will protect you... One could say DNA ARE lying by omission, THAT,S DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICE..NO?

dna Balance Limit (Check the availability of the service for your type of subscription.)
This service provides a practical way of managing your phone bills.
You can select a monthly limit, up to which you are allowed to make voice calls and send text
messages. The lowest limit is EUR 15, the next EUR 20. Thereafter, the limits increase in
increments of EUR 10 up to EUR 500. A subscription for which the dna Balance Limit has been
activated has class F call and message barring as defined by the Finnish Communications
Regulatory Authority, a feature which prevents outgoing calls and text messages to recreational
and adult entertainment services.
To order dna Balance Limit:
- With a text message (in the example, the balance limit is 20 euros per month): text
SALDORAJOITUS TILAA 20 to 14000. You will receive instructions for activating the
service in a reply message. Once the service has been activated, dna will send you an
SMS confirmation message.
- On the My dna Web pages, in the ‘My subscription’ section: http://www.dnafinland.fi/omadna.
Please carefully read the Special Conditions enclosed in the start-up kit before ordering the
service.
The balance limit is not the same as the total invoice amount, since balance information is
entered with a delay of approximately 24 hours. For international calls, the delay can be up
to a few days. Nevertheless, these charges will be included on the invoice.
When the balance limit you defined has been reached, you will no longer be able to make calls,
send text or multimedia messages, or use the data transfer service.
NOTE! If you are on the Åland islands when the balance limit is reached, the service will not bar
traffic and it will be possible for you to exceed the balance limit. You will be fully liable for any
expenses in excess of the balance limit. Furthermore, expenses arising from using your phone
abroad, e.g. calls made and received, are not included in the Balance Limit service, and you will
also be fully liable for such costs.

Look in papers you signed and im quite sure you find that in there.

I understand your frustration but it's still your kid who caused the problem by buying so many drinks from the machines. DNA didn't force him to do that.

I refer you to the meaning and common understanding of RAJA. nb. this limit is self evidently for the protection of the customer, However, as I pointed out the raja which one generally buys from dna DO NOT apply to add on services such as drink machines, ,, tHIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND i simply suggest to you that dna should strongly advise customers of this shortfall in their service,, should you lose your phone ffor example, the general raja SHOULD give total protection, these add ons should be opt ins , but then coca cola mightn,t pay the kickbacks.

You should disable the "service numbers" when you get a contract. That avoids all kinds of extra trouble. And you can disable foreign calls as well - no need to call the lady who gives time in China.
