dirtbike track, off road with motorcycle

Post by finngtr » Sat Oct 10, 2009 5:30 pm

Hi, I have a dirtbike and live in Helsinki. Does someone know of a dirtbike track or elsewise other location in Helsinki where one can ride their dirtbike on "private owned" place? dirtbike track that I have to pay is also ok, but if I can find any places where I do not have to pay, that of course if good too.

I live close to Malmi also, but any place in helsinki is good.

Basically you need a competition licence & membership to get freebies... depending on the track you then at least need a competitionlicence or at minimum a personal insurance coverage and the bike needs to be insured as well (despite it being registered or not).

Can you by chance now some insurance company that insures not-road legal dirtbikes and off road vehicles?

I guess all of them do.. I'd go for the company you insure your car & trailer at, they might give some reduction. I think the membership fees at the motor clubs cover a personal insurance & give free track time so you need to chack that too - but say if your regular homeowners insurance covers also health - you need to check the small print on what it says about motorsports.
