Are you over 65 and using Finland Forum?

Where to buy? Where can I find? How do I? Getting started.

I think I'm over 65, therefore I am over 65, trying to work out what sort of reply an over 65 year old person would put to a such an oblique question, I seem to be typing a reply, therefore I am using Finland Forum. Further I no longer live in Finland ( they couldn't handle my outspoken tirades or gesticulations when it came to conversing in the local vernacular ) in other words I neither spoke or sadly understood all but a couple of words of which when I did pluck up courage to use them found that I was speaking to a Swedish speaking Finn, who would refuse point blank to make any allowances for my not immediately recognising that simple fact. Why do I use this forum, now that is a good question, it's a bit like smoking, you know it's not good for you but it's a hard habit to kick ( Right Bubba ), seriously though ( trying to do his Stephen Fry impersonation ) there are some very enlightening people abroad, with some extremely oblique views on life in general and particularly on how they are seen to be seen by all and sundry. Finns are different, with a great sense of hidden humour, mostly laughing at themselves but with a greater sense of dignity than us Brits.
It helps me stay in touch with a world and people I admire, but through no other reason than ill health can no longer enjoy, don't know if this answers your questions. As to the question easy to use, for an old reprobate like myself it's soooooooooooo easy and if you make a fluffy there is always he who shall be nameless ready and waiting in the wings to flame you to hellllllllllllll. Honestly.

The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.

But many will know that is not true I had a few hundred posts using my real name before I thought it wise to be incognito.
Dont post as often as I used to..got/get a bit put off by those who thought (perhaps still think) that they had/have a divine right to be right. (see my signature).
I do read the new posts at least once a week but now I am retired I am kept busy, unlike when I was working when I often had time to be cynical.
I suppose in short I find much more pleasure in meeting the likes of Hank (and a few others) than reading his/their predictable responses to oft repeated questions.
People do not become more irritable as they grow old - they simply stop making the effort to avoid annoying others.

Thanks to those who took the time to write a response. Since the responses were few however, I won't proceed at this time with this small scale study. I chose to take that project in a different route. I am going to be in this program for quite some time(Human Ageing and Elderly Services), and although I wasn't able to do anything with this particular subject, I would like to keep your names and information on the backburner for the time being. I am always eager to get to know more about the 'real' people around me rather than the book cases.
One of the things I am very interested in is the hows and the whys of these older generations and their lives. If anyone ever wants to sit and chat and tell me about the 'good ole days', feel free to PM me, or better yet, document it for future generations!
Thanks for everything, and it was nice to see that I had posted something that got a few people to respond that never have!
