hi there,
I recently came back from a visit to Finland earlier this year and fell in love with the country. I'm now looking to move over there and work a while. Unfortunately I dont speak alot of Finnish but i have been in hotel managment and bars managment for 5 years now. Would a live in position be my best option?
Any help would be grateful

thanks!

Obviously you are looking at the Lapland resorts? There is a chance there (even the business isn't that boomig right now). What you get there though is you get a "network" as theres a lot of migrant staff working in the seasonals, so then finding work "down south" they rather hire someone someone says a "good word" for.

are you sure you didn,t fall in love with a woman here? be careful ,the natives don,t like their women straying! and you may need to tone down any scottish brogue, cos its not considered to be proper english.

and yes ,a live -in position would guarantee you a softer landing.

Oh come on now, with a wide brogue he'd get an excellent job in a kindergarten - you know "proper speaking" people complaining theres Australians and Americans working in the kindergartens would probably appreciate kids coming home sounding like Sean Connery.
