That's a typical misconception, unfortunately.
Sure, there are self-proclaimed pro-photographers who haven't a clue what they're doing, but they exist also in the film circle.

Hi Sandra,

I'm the Deputy President of JCI Cosmopolis, an English speaking chapter of Junior Chamber International in Helsinki. Every second Wednesday of the month we hold a networking event for expats and entrepreneurs in the Helsinki region at A21 Cocktail lounge starting at 1800 - Annankatu 21. Also, JCI Cosmopolis just had our 2010 election meeting last night and our new board will need pictures taken of the new board. If you'er free next week on Wednesday, stop by A21 to meet us. Otherwise, drop me and email or call and we can meet up some time.
