Renting a car space in Helsinki

I remember seeing car spaces for lease on a website once - could someone please give me a link to where I can look at car spaces for lease in Helsinki?

It depends where you live in Helsinki - it's a big place.

Oikotie has a listing of spaces, but there's nothing really sensible. Either your apartment has spaces or you pay 30 Euros a year for a residents street-parking permit.

What's the word for car space to search under in Oikotie? We're in Katajanokka and there's heated car spaces right out front of our place but they seem to be owned by the units along the waterfront. At the moment we are paying to park everywhere and can't seem to work out where we can park for free.

So if you have a residents parking card can you park for free all day in the paid parking spaces?

You get a nice laminated bit of paper with a big D on it to put in your windscreen. It lets you park anywhere that has a D on the parking signs i.e. on Skatta.

As for the other parking, well oikotie-> asunot -> tontit maatilat ja autopaikat -> stick your postcode into Aluetarkenne (00160)

and you'll find that you can buy one for 7k + 5 euros a month or rent one for 150 Euros/month.
