Hei, i was just wondering, what are the rules and your rights of cohabiting in Finland?
I have been with my boyfriend for 6 years, we lived in Finland for 2, 5 year...and it seems like its not maybe working out.
But do you just leave everything and separate nicely, or do you actually have some rights?
What does happen if you have like common savings account?
Thanks,
daivii
Cohabiting and your rights
Re: Cohabiting and your rights
Well, as long as there are no kids, it's pretty simple.
Each partner takes his or her own belongings and leave.
There is no common income. The partner who earns the money, keeps it.
Things that are in both your names have to be divided. But that doesn't mean split 50/50. First you look who supplied the stuff.
