Just to let you know, a new FINFO advice line for anyone new to Finland opened in December 2009. The service aims to give assistance in four languages (and in Finnish) on the following days/times:
Tue-Fri
English, French, Arabic: 10am - 3pm
Russian: 12pm-3pm
The number is: 0207 40 11 60 (standard call rates from landlines and mobiles)
The line is aimed particularly for people moving from non-EU countries and is partly funded by the European Fund for the Integration of Third-Country Nationals.
