Finnish Chocolate with Cloudberry filling

Post by Fjord_Brewer » Wed Jan 27, 2010 1:28 am

I had a 'Karl Fazer' chocolate the other day in a mixed assortment box and the chocolate I ate had a cloudberry filling, anyone know if you can purchase the chocolates straight up with all the cloudberry ones or if you have to buy the assortments?

If anyone also knows a great place to buy these chocolates on the internet I want to buy some for a friend and ship them to them overseas. :)

Chocolates with cloudberry liqueur filling? I’m not quite sure about Fazer but another Finnish confectionery company, Panda, sells cloudberry liqueur-filled chocolates by 350g boxes. According to Google, Suomikauppa.fi has at one time in the recent past had them in their catalog. However, that no longer seems to be the case. Maybe you could ask them if they would carry that product again.

It's the Fazer Nordic Gourmet Cloudberry variety I'd guess. Does this look familiar? IIRC the cloudberry flavour is only available in the boxed assortment, you can buy the others separately... see

Hi,

In http://www.suomikauppa.fi/index.php?cPath=24_38, they seem to have all other tastes than cloudberry. I would image they would be able to get that for you, if you would order more than one pack.

I guess the cloudberry ones are too expensive to pack separately. I bet you get less of the cloudberry ones in a box versus le blueberry! I sent my mum the Fazer Nordic berry advent calendar last December, she loved it!

 Can't remember for sure, but I *think* there were equal amounts of all three. I too have only sampled the boxed variety at party, and the contents disappeared in a flash so to speak!

Dunno if they are more expensive to make/pack... it's just as likely to be a sales gimmick... "limited edition" thingy of sorts. Who knows they might become available separately like the others in the future.

Btw, I think the blueberry ones are the best of the bunch, a matter of taste of course.
