Post by vincebel » Thu Jan 28, 2010 9:55 am

Hi here is an offer i found on internet

http://www.canaldigital.fi/Tuotteet/Sat ... hepaketti/

Is it the real price or i have to pay some extras that will come later as a bad surprise? I called them and they were talking about an antenna for 100 euros etc... I didnt understand everything i told them my girlfriend will call later for more explications.

Basically my question is whst do i need and how much it cost to have the Perhe kanavapaketti?

thanks all.

Well, to start, this is a key sentence:
Kaikki paketit ovat 24kk sitovalla sopimuskaudella
(= all the packages have a 24 months binding contract)

You are still interested? :D

Also i have another question. I have in my possession a diggibox with a card reader. The guy from canal digital told me that it wont work with my diggibox and i have to buy a new one. So why do we sell diggiboxes with card readers trhat does not accept all the cards? is there some different kind of cards?
Might be some stupid questions for you but im kinda lost. In my home country everything is from the cable, normal Tv or canal plus (basically 2 choices one with no card one with card).

Be wary about drilling holes to the balcony as it is housing co's... holes + water = mighty forces in freezing temperatures.

There are three standards (and mediums) to receive dvb signal: dvb-t, dvb-c, and dvb-s. Terristial (aka over the air), cabele or satellite. If you have t or s box, it wont work with s signal that is received by dish.

If you have cable now and will have cable after your move, then I would go for cable.

As PlusTV's banner says: "Suomalainen maksu-tv antennikoteihin"... "Finnish pay-tv for antenna households"... so plustv is only(?) available via dvb-t.

so what are my options to have more than 6 channels with the cable? I m not addicted to Tv at all but anyway i spent so many nights after a long day at work then sport cursing on the tv cos there was absolutely nothing interesting. Before there was TV5 (im french speaking). now its gone. Also i heard that the sport channel will be gone next month as well and nelonen sport (which looks great) will be on pay-Tv. (or again maybe i didnt understood well).

Like someone said on another topic i have kids and there is nothing in the morning for kids and some cartoons are too violent i think anyway.

Yep, PlusTV only operates in the terrestrial network, so it only applies to those who get their TV signal via a roof antenna (as opposed to satellite dish or cable.)

If the OP wants to watch premium (pay) channels as a cable subscriber he should contact his local cable company or visit their website.
