Where to buy Protein Powder?
Where to buy Protein Powder?
Hi,
I just arrived in Finland. I would like to know where to buy good protein powder? Personally, I like "Lean Body" products. But, I guess these imported ones may be expensive here. Any suggestion?
Have a wonderful snowing day!

Re: Where to buy Protein Powder?
Same place as every country...Health food shops, gyms, fitness/body building/martial arts shops, sporting goods shops...and of course on-line. I can't help give you any details as I have no clue where you are based. I think they are quite popular and easy to find. Just take a walk around town and look for the shops.
I wouldn't say they are that more expensive here, but I don't know what you are comparing them to.
I don't know that Lean Body products...but this came up. I am not sure which you want or in what form...

For anything stronger ask your local MC.
Oh, you're in finland now...so eat lots of rahka...cheaper and healthier than those supplements.

I have never considered buying supplements but come across an interesting argument from n insider: the supplement industry is a big money conspiracy and that most guys don't need them. Get the PDF here if you're interested: tinyurl.com/supplementconspiracy
A friend of mine does that, and I never bothered to ask. Does rahka have an advantage over milk?Bubba Elvis XIV wrote:Oh, you're in finland now...so eat lots of rahka...

It's very high in protein, more than milk and it's food so you can make a snack of it...It's very common here as a snack for athletes / weight lifters. I eat it when I am working out a lot.
It's pretty much pure protein, It contains very few carbs and very little fat. I guess the easiest thing is to check the nutritional info. (this is just a quick comparison of 100g...I am sure the rahka I eat is lower in fats and carbs than the valio one - I had my last one for breakfast so can't check it...)
Rahka Valio
proteiinia 11 g
hiilihydraatteja 4.2 g
rasvaa 0.3 g
Skimmed milk
proteiinia 3.3 g
hiilihydraatteja 4.9 g
rasva 0 g
I am not a big believer in supplements. Tests have shown that it is pretty much a placebo effect, other tests have show that they are effective...You have to make your own decision...In my opinion they are filled with chemicals and all sorts of rubbish, so even if they do help you gain muscle or weight the cons out whey the pros. (see my joke - get it, eh?!!!???)

There’s also raejuusto (cottage cheese, image.) Similarly low in fat, high in protein. Doesn’t taste like... much anything at all. Available at normal supermarkets and grocery stores from several different dairy companies, in a number of different varieties.Bubba Elvis XIV wrote:[Rahka is] very high in protein, more than milk and it's food so you can make a snack of it...It's very common here as a snack for athletes / weight lifters. Cottage cheese is quite good...But yeah, the taste is a bit....lacking
Pepper or fruit helps.
One of the advantages of rahka is that it's quite 'versatile'...good for snacks, a breakfast type thing, desserts....Or just to stick in your gym bag and have after a sporting activity.

Buying that pylly-proteiini online is far cheaper than from the gym stores, but then again you can get new weights on the side.
