What's your prediction for the Ice Hockey finals?

Canada will probably win their semi-final and take gold... unless the Slovaks get very lucky. Finland will end up losing to the USA and lose the bronze as well. (Too many old geezers in our team, not enough young talent.)

Well...that's the "theory"..... But I always cheer for the "underdog"...unless I've got money riding on it....

Just heard a news report out of Vancouver, Canada that basically said the Finland Hockey team had quit the men's hockey competition to return home to their third world country. This is troubling news.

Before the Olympic started I picked the men's Finnish hockey team to win gold and the women to take the bronze. I'm sticking with that prediction (& got the women correct).

I see your point....but I guess the Finns can, at least, be content that they outlasted the Swedes....

So I think we are agreed then....no one, except for the Americans, wants the USA to win....and I don't want to have to listen to a bunch of arrogant boasting....so now we must support Slovakia....

OK, I was wrong about the bronze, so congrats to the team. But they only got their act together during the 3rd period...

Tomorrow's game will be exciting, tough to predict... And then it's the closing ceremonies and we will get our city back The best legacy of these games seems to be that Vancouverites have left their cars at home and have learned to walk, cycle and take public transit. Hopefully most will not resort back to their bad habits.
