Beckham injured, flying to Finland for repairs

Sadly David Beckham has done his achilles tendon no good and is out of the world cup squad , however Finland is the first choice when it comes to surgery. Won't argue with that.

It'll be Orava, I guess. Or Tulikoura. Woe betide anyone else who has their services booked for ortho surgery next week... they'll end up with Doctor Cameron instead.

Dr Squirrel eh? Beckham wasn't good enough to play for England anyway so it's a blessing in disguise. He was particularly ineffectual in the Champions league the last two games. I wonder if he'll be bringing his stick here?

Perhaps he'll fall victim to HBS while he's here. In which case Stick would only be in the way.

Good to hear it's not Tulikoura because my dads torn Achilles’ tendon never recovered to even 70% of what it was before(this in early 80's).

I'd have offered the services of Matti Rusanen, who did my ACL reconstruction beautifully, but I couldn't find him on Google last night. I do hope he hasn't gone and turned up his toes, just in case I have to go back to get the titanium pins polished up. Anyway, we can expect a massive influx of British journalists polluting the place when Becks shows up. Since the Beeb is still persistently saying he'll be operated on in Helsinki, some of them are going to be looking in vain for a clinic.

Edit: Ah. Now they have worked out it will be in Turku. So Helsinki will be spared.
