End-of-year return: claiming costs of home office

Post by filecore » Wed Mar 17, 2010 10:37 am

Oh dear, it's that time of the year again. I'm trying to remember the previous years - can I claim a share of insurance if I have a home office? I know I can claim a corresponding share of yhtiövastike, electricity, internet etc. I'm pretty sure I asked this from some advisor guy last year and I have some faint memory that he said I shouldn't, but since my memory is utterly untrustworthy I'd like to know what you guys think.

I read somewhere, that home insurance don't cover anything staying at the room that is claimed to be home office. You should have business insurance for business purposes.

One more question, I just want to confirm this for sure - insurance premiums (YEL) are fully deductible, aren't they?
