Looking for IT job

Hi,
I am Hetal from India - Bangalore. I am currently working with IBM on .net and microsoft technologies. I will be moving to finland in May end. I am searching for a job in .net but going through the sites and forums it seems that .net work is not there much in Helsinki.
I have also worked in JSP before.
I dont know Finnish.

Anyone who is aware about the job openings, please please let me know for the same. Also please let me know the sites where i can post my resume for the job or where i can check for the openings.

I need to to a job so if its not it IT, i will probably change my field and start looking for some other type of job. But for that also it seems that knowing Finish is mandatory.

Any help is appreciated.

I'd find the job first before you come...if you already have a decent job in India, don't throw it away before you have something here. Maybe you can also check with your fellow countrymen who are already here, if they have any contacts.

That means you already have a residence permit?
Since you are looking for a job the RP is probably not for work or study.
Than it must be for family ties.
I guess you're married to someone already living in Finland with a valid RP.
If that is not the case, the residence permit might prove a major obstacle.

Actually my husband is moving to Finland on work permit for long term. And thats the reason why I m moving to Finland. As his project is for long term, I want to find a job in Finland. Do I register myself on any site for the job openings or name of the companies where in i can apply ?

Well, .net isn't *that* popular here, theres maybe a bit more J2EE, and of course testing

yeah thats what i have come to know that .net jobs arent much there is Finland.. So i am looking for alternative job like in testing etc..

Well, our Finnish company is an example of one which does development in .NET, and I know of others. So don't give up hope yet.

".NET and microsoft technologies" is such a wide-ranging description of what you do that it could mean almost anything, so it's not tempting to follow up your post. Maybe you could provide a summary CV, or explain what kind of projects you've been working on.

Hi Charles,
To summarize my job profile,
I have around 8+ years of experience and currently working with a role of Team leader/sr. system eng.
I am also a kepner-tregoe problem solving methodology. Commonly known as KT methodology. And currently mentoring my team members in the same.

I am working with IBM since past 3 years.
The project that i m working currently its for Shell company. We are into maintenance/enhancing their current Jiffy Lube store applications (Chemical industry).
I have used asp.net and also windows applications in vb.net and c#. For database I m comfortable with mssql but have also worked in oracle earlier.
Apart from .net, i have worked on testing, JSP, javascript, vbscript but not recently.
