Hi everyone who reads this message!
Hopefully, there will be some volunteer to answer my question=) I am currently studying at the university of applied sciences (pursuing the bachelor's certificate) and soon will be close to the graduation; I wanted to wonder how possible is to get accepted to Helsinki University Master program conducted in English (connected with business - i am not specifying with the purpose of getting various kinds of feedbacks). Any statistics is very welcome, i just want to hear sincere opinions and experiences. My personal aim of publishing this post - I would like to evaluate my chances with your help, guys (transcript of records is with weighted average of nearly 4.7)
P.S. Please, no abusing replies and posts with "i am the coolest in the world" flavor.
MANY THANKS EVERYONE!

Well, if they accept an UAS bachelors is the first one, and you may need to re-read certain subjects to their standards, depends on the faculty.

Re: MASTER in University of Helsinki
UAS != University
One is vocational the other is academic and thus you can't switch to another without starting from the beginning (=you won't get much credits from your bachelors from UAS)

Perhaps more useful would to be to ask directly from Helsinki University if they would accept a Finnish polytechnic bachelors degree as entry onto their international master programmes.femalestudent wrote:Hi everyone who reads this message!

My guess is that they won't, from the little I've heard of AMK graduates attempting degrees at real universities (AMK graduate getting in on a standard Masters programme, as opposed to the international Masters, but then having to take some basic courses), they can struggle as there is a huge gap in the level / standards.

Re: MASTER in University of Helsinki
Thank you guys for the help, but i would like to continue the discussion and make some remarks...I know that i can apply with my AMK BBA degree - it is not a problem (there are some difficulties of course, but it's surely doable). So my initial question was about "what kind of chances do i have"...I mean how competitive is the environment over there and whether you, guys, know some people or situations alike, since i could not find out any related statistics in the Netplace. Of course, i understand that the competition is on the top level etc, but i would like to hear some definite and clear situational assessment. Having heard the general answers, i'd like to state the program i want to apply for - MScFB - Master's Degree programme in forestry and business. So if there is one who knows some interesting information to share with - i will be very happy and pleased!
THANK YOU AGAIN GUYS
