Entrance exam !!!!!!!!

Hello I am Moroccan student, my problem is that the university ( HAMK university) told me that I will get by mail an invitation for Entrance exam on 13 March, so I will have to go to Finland to have it or Ghana( Accra), but I can't because I am studying here in Morocco Software Engineering , I pay lot of money for my studies.Second thing is that i got my high school diploma ( baccalaureate exam) BEFORE 2 YEARS, so I will find difficulties yo remember and revise the courses ( maths, chemistry, Physics) that I will have entrance exam in them. The last problem is that when I saw some examples of entrance exam , I found out that some lessons I have not studied them in high school . Morocco follows french system education.completely different . if any one has suggestion please, inform me as soon as possible .Thanks

the entrance exam is basically logic.. if u can trhink througha problem fast , u can answer the questions...maths , english and logicall questions. the english i suppose u can get it as long as u speak good english..maths and logic..i don't know your level

Why should it be online? Maybe we should just have the entrance examinations in Finnish and then see how much you want to complain?

hello ya'll,

I applied for a course in Bit at haaga helia and they said they'll send an invitation to sit for entrance exam which ive seen will take place in april 23rd .
Problem is i havent received the invitation or rejection letter to take the test which by now should have already reached me coz the exam is just a few days away coz i need to prepare ..ive written to the uni but they didnt reply ..im confused !!!!
must i come to Finland to take the exam or is the romuor going around the net - that you can organize with the Finnish embassy in ur country to sit for the exam there, true ????well is it???
and what if one didnt take physics in high school????
where can i get the sample paper for the past entrance exams already done so that i get up to speed.

I think there are several rumours going on in the net about Elvis being alive

True - in some cases, the Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS = polytechnics) may occasionally arrange entrance examinations abroad, for example, at the embassies. But whether this kind of opportunity is offered in country X may vary from one year to another, AND it needs to be agreed on between the Embassy and the UAS well in advance - the point being that you can not just "walk in" to the embassy andd say okay I'll do the exam now. Entrance examinations arranged abroad, generally speaking, an exception, and unless the insitution that you have applied to offers such a possibility, you usually would need to come to Finland to take the exam.

AFAIK all the eligible candidates are usually invited to take part in an entrance exam... yews, it says on the admissions website that "All applicants who meet the admission criteria receive invitation letters to the examinations". The thing might be that those applicants who -for some reason- are NOT eligible, will not receive any notification ('rejection letter'). So... go figure However we can not unfortunately know anything about the status of your application.

And then the question of getting a visa to travel to the entrance examination. Even if you do get the invitation, the embassy may be overwhelmed of the applications, or expects the people to do a disappearing act and blanketly refuse to give any visas. So thats another obstacle. As there is a few thousand applicants for the 40 or so places, statistically most of those coming for the tests won't get in.

hei, i also applied for metropolia for nursing and i got inviation letter for entrance exam but my problem is that i applied for only one course in finland.
i dont know how much surety of getting admission because i apply only for one couse. anyone can help me and tell me something about this?
