Freelance language teacher in Helsinki initiative

Post by antar » Sun Apr 04, 2010 11:14 pm

Hi!

One of the business ideas that seem to be finding a quick echo among the community, is a platform to advertise and support freelance language teachers.

The idea is creating a company with a website where professional language teachers will advertise their CVs and students will be able to choose them and book their lessons online, paying for them in advance. This will save a big headache for language teachers - LAST MINUTE CANCELLATIONS. The teacher will keep most of the money from the lesson (75% or 80%) and the rest will fund the company expenses. The teacher will be able to skip the company, but it will be just more convenient not to do it.

In addition, the company will deal with tax, invoicing, marketing and any problems that might come up. There are successful online sites like Learnissimo, but this will be to advertise face-to-face language lessons.

Please, let it know to any language teacher you know. The group to join in facebook is "Language teachers Helsinki".

Kiitos paljon! Thanks! Grazie Mille! Spasibo! ;)
