Fish and chips in Helsinki starting tonight

Hello All

Just wanted to tell you all about the new service that will start tonight in town (Helsinki) MegaBite Event Catering’s Fish & Chip Van.

They are back after the cold winter to sell fish and chips in kammpi near or outside the aussie bar, at 22.00 until 04.00, He will be selling,
Real potato chips (not frozen), fresh fillets of fish in home made batter, curry chips, garlic cheese chips, burgers, battered sausages, battered burgers, homemade veggie burgers and so on. I have brought this tasty food to you so you don't have to wait until you visit home again.

I hope you enjoy the food if you are out and about to night.

See this thread, there's information on page 2. Don't recall any information on prices other than the Aussie discount but one would expect prices to fall in line with neighborhood sellers.

Yes ajdias, i know about that information, I just wanted to let everyone know that he is back there now, because he has not been there for the last couple of months because of the winter,but he called me yesterday to let me know that he will start up again next weekend.

For those like me, who have no idea where the convicts hang out in Hki, the location is apparently here. I'll be giving it a bash next time I'm in town.

To continue on the chip theme ... I 'kin love chips, me. Had a superb cheese pie, chips and mushy peas here the weekend before last. Manna from heaven when you only get them once a year. Slightly disheartened that this bloke doesn't do mushy peas, but no worries, if the chips are as good as they sound ...

Sitting watching the Cheeseheads vs. Uruguay in the Scandic Simonkenta and would gladly give Hank's left nut for a plate of chips.... any news on this chip van... his website says nothing, does he turn out in Helsinki... is it only on Fridays & Saturdays? Anyone actually sampled his fare or is all an urband legend, like gerbils in Richard Gere's poop-chute?
