Is it hard to survive in south?

Currently I'm studying in northwestern part of Finland, thinking to transfer to some school in south though... However, after checking the room rent and living expenses etc. in south, I got to realize that it's easier to survive in north than south, isn't it? Even if I find some part-time job in south, where there's more job opportunity than in north, I ain't that sure if it can cover my expense every month? Anyway please give me some advice? Which place is better? North or south? And I have to live by my own, so I need to have a part job urgently and for sure... Thanks and have a good day
