I think these require nominalizing the verb first, then using that newly-created noun in the inessive case.missvietfin wrote:By the way, can i ask you one more question. Is it possible to change all verbs to this form SSA-SSÄ, let s say, like mennä to menossä, käyttää to käytössä...., or there are only some certain verbs which can be used in this form.
Is there a rule on how to norminalize the verbs?Jukka Aho wrote:I think these require nominalizing the verb first, then using that newly-created noun in the inessive case.missvietfin wrote:By the way, can i ask you one more question. tehdä (verb) → teko (noun) → teossa (the same noun in the inessive case)
mennä (verb) → meno (noun) → menossa (the same noun in the inessive case)
lentää (verb) → lento (noun) → lennossa (the same noun in the inessive case)
juosta (verb) → juoksu (noun) → juoksussa (the same noun in the inessive case)
nauraa (verb) → nauru (noun) → naurussa (the same noun in the inessive case)
olla (verb) → olo (noun) → olossa (the same noun in the inessive case)
etc.
I guess you should be able to do this for all the verbs, at least in principle...
There are many ways to nominalize verbs... for different purposes: for producing the name of the action, for producing the name for the result of that action, for producing the name for someone who performs that action etc.garoowood wrote:Is there a rule on how to norminalize the verbs?
