Welcome!Synopsis:
Lively, young wife with vivid imagination, Clarissa Hailsham-Brown, has moved to calm and lovely countryside with her slightly grizzled diplomat husband Henry and energetic teenage step-daughter Pippa. Family friends Henrietta Birch, Sir Rowland Delahaye and Jeremy Warrender share companionship with Clarissa alongside with bridge, wine and riddles.
After tragic events with Henry's ex wife Miranda have finally ended, everything seems happy - until odd circumstances take place. There comes a horsey sort of a man who wants to buy a desk from Clarissa. He offers large sum for it, far more than it's worth. Why?
And then there is an odd telephone call. When Clarissa comes to phone, whoever it was, just hang up. Why?
Then Miranda's new husband Oliver Costello comes in. He is inspecting the desk when Clarissa enters the room. Oliver is very surprised to see Clarissa. Later he comes back. Why?
