Where to buy baby items

Post by Niblet » Tue May 11, 2010 1:17 pm

Does anyone know a good but inexpensive place to buy a few baby items, either on line or around Herttoniemi or the city centre of Helsinki.

I've tried to do ebay but Finland doesn't have it's own site and I don't want to wait for ages to post from another country.

Now that we're settled in the new house I can see we need a few things like a baby bouncer or small moses basket like bed for the upstairs, a baby bath, ect.

I don't have a car, so internet buying might be easier.

Thanks in advance.

Huuto.net has a ton of baby stuff on it. So do the forums for Kaksplus and Vauva magazines.
If you're looking for a baby bouncer, I probably still have one hanging around that I'd let go
for cheap. I also have a lot of baby clothes that I've not gotten around to selling off.

Another web shop you could try is Fruugo: http://www.fruugo.com/

I also just noticed a very attractive children's secondhand shop in downtown Helsinki (Kruununhaka), though I haven't yet been inside: http://www.kruunukirppu.com/
