And one more thing: I believe that both companies offer 'online fulfillment', i.e. all documents will be sent to my email address after the purchase, so I'll just need to print them out. The question is, would the Immigration Service accept such documents without any question, or should I ask them to send me something bearing a signature?

Check carefully that the insurance does not have waiting periods for possible pre-existing medical conditions which often is the case in American insurances. I would assume that the documents sent by the insurance company to your email will suffice (however, to be certain you should confirm this directly from the Immigration Service).

My name is Jennifer and I'm with International Student Insurance. I noticed some additional post about Finnish visa requirements that I thought would be helpful to address.

The Atlas Travel plan is a popular option among students in Finland. As many of you mentioned, there are minimum coverage amounts depending on the length of time you spend in Finland. The Atlas Travel plan will allow you to choose different coverage amounts so that you can meet your minimum visa requirements:

If you choose a minimum of $50,000 USD in coverage, this will meet 30,000 euro requirement.
If you choose a minimum of $200,000 USD in coverage, this will meet 100,000 euro requirement.

Another popular option is the Student Secure plan available in three different levels: Smart, Budget and Select. All three plans will meet and exceed both Finnish visa requirements.

To answer Dr. Aous's question, we unfortunately do not accept visa electron cards however we do accept credit cards, debit cards, checks, money order, bank transfer, and wire transfer. You can also use a friend or family member's credit/debit card if you do not have one of your own.

After you purchase either plan, you will immediately receive a confirmation e-mail. In this e-mail, it will contain your insurance card, letter of coverage, receipt and policy details. You can simply print these documents out to show proof of coverage. Many of you will also need to present a visa letter which will be available within an hour after purchasing in Student Zone.
