Only caught the last minutes of the Chile game, but their (female) supporters certainly deserve to go through. There was one real honey bouncing up and down very vigorously in a short outfit right at the end. The resident YLE pundit seemed to think the team had played quite well, too, but the lesser South American sides often faff about and draw pretty-pretty patterns on the grass without getting into the danger zone, and then get beat by dour European teams. Since they were playing Honduras today and only got one (though that headed effort should by rights have gone in), I'm not sure that's necessarily a very good omen for the Chileans.

I had a few surreptitious glances at the match at work and, to be fair, Chile weren't afraid to launch pretty much everyone forward. Only 1-0, but they got into the box more times than the Brazilians or Spaniards ( ) did, and I didn't watch it all. A more capable team than Honduras will, should Chile remain thus committed to all-out attack, take advantage of this. Often.

Spain - Chile is now unmissable to my mind, especially as la furia roja now need the win after this afternoon's bungling.

The fun is now starting. I am looking right at Mexico for another upset.

I was looking at marca.com earlier and their headline was "humbleness bath". Where I come from a penalty kick, an offside goal and a red card, all forgiven to the swiss, would be enough to make Howard W. a public villain but they choose to focus on themselves. Perhaps the additional five minutes saved him.

His name is oft-pronounced 'queer-oz' in Britain, so perhaps he has been meddling with the genitalia of the squad...

Scared of the DPRK yet?

No way, we have Eusébio over there.
Oh, wait...

Next to Queiroz, there's not much that can scare us. Unfortunately. :(

Thankfully, I have Flash turned off by default. :)

Comments on YT say it's fake.
